The award-winning Palace Court at Caesars
Palace boasts a reputation of being one of the most elegant gourmet
restaurants in America.
Housed in a mini-museum setting filled
with art treasures of the past, the Palace Court is designed to
provide haute cuisine and meticulous service in the atmosphere of
a private courtyard.
A la carte selections of contemporary
French haute cuisine offer many sumptuous combinations of hors d'oeuvres,
soups, salads, entrees and desserts.
Escalope de Foie Gras aux Navets Confits
et Glace Vieux Porto (pan-seared duck liver and confit turnips,
served with aged port wine sauce), Carre d' Agneau Roti aux Flageolets
Fumes et Fromage de Chevre Frais, Emulsion de Jus d' Artichaud (roasted
rack of lamb, served with smoked flageolet beans, fresh goat cheese,
and baby artichokes in an emulsion of artichoke and lamb juices)
and the perfect Dover Sole are just a few tantalizing choices. The
menu changes seasonally.
An extensive wine list, prepared by Master
Sommelier Barbara Werley, provides a superb selection from the award-winning
Caesars Palace wine cellar.
From delicate hors d'oeuvres to famous
dessert souffles and sliced fresh fruits dipped in white chocolate,
all is prepared for "le plaisir de la table" by a team
of expert chefs, led by Chef de Cuisine Laurent Tourondel, a James
Beard Foundation honoree. "Cafes et digestifs" offer a
relaxing epilogue to the dining experience.
Located on the second floor, the restaurant
is accessible via a dedicated elevator to the Palace Court Lounge.
The lounge, which features nightly musical performances of fine
pianists, is a popular retreat for guests who enjoy quiet conversation
under its retracting, barrel-vaulted, stained-glass ceiling. A giant,
domed, stained-glass ceiling (which does not retract) measuring
36 feet in diameter, crowns the dining area.
Decorated in shades of terra cotta, Roman
tan and Grecian pink, the Palace Court restaurant is framed in balloon
drapes along a two-story, circular glass wall. On the opposite wall
is a 45-by-20-foot mural, commissioned from Grosh Scenic Studios
of Hollywood, Calif. The hand-painted "Le Manoir du Chapeau"
(cq) garden and courtyard is a classic countryside scene of the
French province Bourbonnais.
Tables are adorned with Frette Egyptian
cotton linen, imported from Italy. Settings of Limoges porcelain,
St. Hilaire Louis XV silver, and Spiegelau crystal are perfectly
prepared by attentive personnel.
A gallery of art treasures throughout
the Palace Court Restaurant, Lounge and the nearby Palace Court
Casino, sculpted upholstery and lush green plantings, thriving in
the area's romantically filtered light, help to give the Palace
Court its luxurious Gallic atmosphere.
The Palace Court is open for dinner only.
