California Hotel & Casino

Casinos > Overview

Welcome to the hotel California, except here it might be more appropriate to say "Aloha" instead of  "Hello" ( or good-bye for that matter). Approximately 85% of the guests that stay at the California are from Hawaii. The dealers wear Hawaiian shirts and the restaurants inside the casino serve Hawaiian specialties along with their other entrees. This leads to an atmosphere that can only be described as Jimmy Buffet meets Don Ho.  The casino has a laid back, friendly pace that is very enticing. Only a friendly casino that likes people would set out sofas and armchairs right on the gaming floor. There are also probably more balloons here than in any other casino except Circus Circus.

The California is also known for it's dinner special. Check time for availability, but when it's in effect you can get a sirloin steak, two baby lobster tails, salad and a glass of wine for $10.95. This is definitely one of the best values among   Las Vegas' many wacky dinner specials.

The accommodations in the California are thankfully not designed in the same style as the casino. The rooms are rather tastefully designed with mahogany furnishings and marble bathrooms.  All rooms have private safes and pay-per-view movies.
