Opened in 1946 by Bugsy Siegel, The Flamingo
is the mother of Las Vegas casinos. A trip to Las Vegas would
not be complete without seeing where it all started. The Flamingo
recently spent $130 million to make Bugsy's "real class joint"
a beautiful bastion of old Vegas on the strip. The casino floor
is average, but the sense of nostalgia and history make up for any
lack.
