Circus Circus Adverturedome
The Circus Circus Adventuredome /
Grand Slam Canyon is a small indoor theme park located behind
the Circus Circus casino. It has several rollercoasters and attractions
including Fun House Express- a motion simulator ride,
Hot Shots Laser Tag, food vendors and roaming clowns. It's
a good place to bring kids, but the poorly conceived floor plan
makes it easy to get lost. Here are the four biggest rides or
attractions:
The Canyon Blaster
The Canyon Blaster is the largest
indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster in the country.
It travels at speeds up to 55 miles per hour and subjects
you to a series of hair-raising twists, turns and loops. The ride
begins with a climb up to 90 feet before you are dropped at a
45-degree angle into the first of two loops. The Canyon Blaster
pulls both positive and negative G-forces for a unique sensation.
The ride lasts for a total of 1 minute and 45 breathless seconds.
Rim Runner
The Rim Runner is a fantastic flume
ride that circulates 460,000 gallons of water. The flow of the
water is so strong, it can run up to four boats at a time (each
boat weighs 4,000 lbs excluding passengers). The stream
circles the park, so you'll get a view of the other rides and
can wave at friends. However, hang on at the end of the ride because
the Rim Runner ends with a 60-foot drop at 40 feet per second.
It's fun but be prepared, you'll get soaked at the end.
Fun House Express
The fun house express is a motion simulator
ride located in the Adventuredome. It was specifically designed
for Circus Circus and continues the clown motif. The Fun House
Express story revolves around Jimmy, a retired clown who operates
a rickety fun house ride for an unappreciative boss.
The real adventure begins when Jimmy seeks his revenge by sending
the audience on a wild ride through a spooky world of his
own creation called "Clown Chaos". Despite the kids'
theme, the Fun House Express doesn't pull any punches. The ride
is fun, but there are plenty of bumps and turns. It may be too
intense for younger children.
Hot Shots Laser Tag
This modern laser tag arena was designed
by Ultrazone of Las Vegas for Circus Circus. The large area covers
over 7,500 feet and is replete with visual effects and physical
obstacles. Guests are divided into two teams, (red and green)
to compete for highest individual and team, score. Get a good
hiding spot and fire away, or run around commando-style, the games
are five minutes long so you only have a short time to do a lot
of shooting.
