King Tut's Tomb and Museum

Attractions > Overview

This attraction at the Luxor Las Vegas is a full-scale reproduction of King Tutankhamen's Tomb, one of the greatest archeological finds of all time. The measurements of each of the rooms are exactly the same as the original. Every detail was laboriously recreated as workers used the same gold leaf and linens, precious pigments, tools and original 3,300-year-old methods to recreate the treasures found in the tomb.   Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon discovered King Tut's Tomb in the Valley of Kings at Luxor in 1922, and all items have been faithfully arranged according to their journals.

A four minute film is shown before you are allowed into the tomb. Once inside, you can pick up a listening device to hear the 20-minute audio tour. The tour is self-guided, so you will not be rushed.  Although it is not quite the original, it's worth the $4 admission. Why not complete the journey- while in Las Vegas you can say you've been to New York, Ancient Rome and now King Tut's Tomb.  Open Sunday through Thursday 9am - 11pm, Friday & Saturday 9am -11:30 pm.
