Maxim Hotel & Casino

Casinos > Overview

The Maxim is a casino located one block off the strip on Flamingo Rd. The casino is popular with locals and senior citizens who are probably lured by the friendly and comfortable atmosphere. There isn't much ballyhoo going on in the casino, earning it the reputation as a "Mom and Pop" or  "Corner Bar" casino. However, this is a nice break from the corporate attitude prevalent throughout the strip.  You can skip the Maxim if you're in Vegas for a day or two, but if you're staying for a more than a couple of days, you should seek out the Maxim. It's a nice change from the other casinos and is probably why it is so popular with Vegas natives.

The rooms at the Maxim are average, but the "players suites" are nice. They have a whirlpool tub in the bedroom and separate living room with a bar.
