Stratosphere Hotel & Casino

Casinos > Overview

  stratosphere hotel & casino

At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere is the tallest building west of the Mississippi. Although it constantly looms over the Las Vegas skyline, it can't manage to attract enough people to make a profit. The Stratosphere has been in financial trouble since it's opening due in large part to it's terrible location. The Stratosphere is in the middle of nowhere. The nearest casino is the Sahara, and it's not that close. This makes casino hopping very difficult and inconvenient unless you are driving.

The big attraction of the Stratosphere is the scenery. The view from the top of the Stratosphere is breathtaking. At one time the Stratosphere charged an exorbitant fee to get to the observation deck, but they have recently reduced the admission to lure more people. Go at night to see Las Vegas' unforgettable nighttime vista.

Another attraction of the Stratosphere are the two thrill rides located at the top of the tower.
